Prison population (juveniles)

In 2016, Italy's prison population (juveniles) increased by 6.3% compared to 2015, reaching 1,325.

Italy ranks 2nd out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 7.2% (from 1,428 in 2011).
