In 2018, Lithuania's prison population (adults) decreased by 1.8% compared to 2017, reaching 6,433.

Lithuania ranks 15th out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 29.9% (from 9,172 in 2013).
