In 2015, Lithuania's prison population (total) decreased by 14.8% compared to 2014, reaching 7,355.

Lithuania ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 19.5% (from 9,139 in 2010).
