Prison population (juveniles)

In 2017, Malta's prison population (juveniles) increased by 12.5% compared to 2016, reaching 18.

Malta ranks 20th out of 23 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 43.8% (from 32 in 2012).
