In 2020, Slovakia's prison population (juveniles) decreased by 2.7% compared to 2019, reaching 72.

Slovakia ranks 13th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 19.1% (from 89 in 2015).
