In 2007, Poland's acquisitions of EU citizenship increased by 44.9% compared to 2006, reaching 1,542.

Poland ranks 21st out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 30.5% (from 1,182 in 2002).
