At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2008, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 1.8% compared to 2007, reaching 17.2%.

Belgium ranks 15th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.2% (from 16.5% in 2003).
