In 2024, Bulgaria's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 5.9% compared to 2023, reaching 24,610.

Bulgaria ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 25.8% (from 33,172 in 2019).
