In 2017, Bulgaria's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 20.3% compared to 2016, reaching 95.

Bulgaria ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 32.6% (from 141 in 2012).
