In 1995, Croatia's passenger cars, by type of motor energy and size of engine increased by 1.9% compared to 1994, reaching 711,000.

Croatia ranks 21st out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 10.6% (from 795,000 in 1990).
