In 2020, Hungary's passenger cars, by type of motor energy and size of engine increased by 2.9% compared to 2019, reaching 3,920,799.

Hungary ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 22.6% (from 3,196,856 in 2015).
