GERD by sector of performance

In 2024, Italy's GERD by sector of performance increased by 0.7% compared to 2023, reaching 1.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 2.2%.

Italy ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 5.5% (from 1.5% in 2019).
