In 2024, Latvia's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 13.9% compared to 2023, reaching 12,203.

Latvia ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 6.9% (from 13,111 in 2019).
