In 2013, Latvia's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 28.9% compared to 2012, reaching 69.

Latvia ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 30.3% (from 99 in 2008).
