Environmental tax revenues as share of total taxes

In 2024, Latvia's environmental tax revenues as share of total taxes increased by 4.2% compared to 2023, reaching 2.5%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 2.1%.

Latvia ranks 9th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 21.9% (from 3.2% in 2019).
