Lithuania accounts for 1.6% of the EU-27 total of 2,400,434.

Lithuania ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 14.2% (from 45,049 in 2013).
