In 2022, Portugal's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 8.5% compared to 2021, reaching 75.

Portugal ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.3% (from 76 in 2017).
