At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2004, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 4.4% compared to 2003, reaching 16.6%.

Austria ranks 10th out of 13 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 30.8% (from 24.0% in 1999).
