In 2022, Belgium's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 19.6% compared to 2021, reaching 200,146.

Belgium ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 10.5% (from 223,563 in 2017).
