In 2022, France's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 12.9% compared to 2021, reaching 1,332,713.

France ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 8.3% (from 1,453,593 in 2017).
