In 2020, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate of elderly people by tenure status increased by 19.6% compared to 2019, reaching 18.9.

Belgium accounts for 111.2% of the EU-27 total of 17.0.

Belgium ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 24.3% (from 15.2 in 2015).
