In 2024, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate of elderly people by tenure status decreased by 22.3% compared to 2023, reaching 12.2.

Belgium accounts for 73.5% of the EU-27 total of 16.6.

Belgium ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 22.8% (from 15.8 in 2019).
