At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2007, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 20.1% compared to 2006, reaching 23.9%.

Bulgaria ranks 9th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 70.7% (from 14.0% in 2002).
