General government expenditure by function (COFOG)

In 2007, Bulgaria's general government expenditure by function (COFOG) increased by 5.3% compared to 2006, reaching 4.0%.

Bulgaria ranks 24th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 16.7% (from 4.8% in 2002).
