In 2019, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty threshold for a single household increased by 16.0% compared to 2018, reaching 5,022.

Bulgaria ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 24.5% (from 4,035 in 2014).
