Persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex

In 2021, Croatia's persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex increased by 2.0% compared to 2020, reaching 20.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.7%.

Croatia ranks 12th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 11.1% (from 23.5% in 2016).
