In 2020, Croatia's net occupancy rate of bed-places and bedrooms in hotels and similar accommodation (NACE rev. 2, i, 55.1) (from 2012 onwards) decreased by 57.9% compared to 2019, reaching 25.4.

Croatia accounts for 90.1% of the EU-27 total of 28.2.

Croatia ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 52.5% (from 53.5 in 2015).
