General government expenditure by function (COFOG)

In 2007, Cyprus's general government expenditure by function (COFOG) decreased by 2.2% compared to 2006, reaching 40.1%.

Cyprus ranks 18th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.1% (from 38.9% in 2002).
