In 2009, Czechia's passenger cars, by type of motor energy and size of engine increased by 0.3% compared to 2008, reaching 4,435,000.

Czechia ranks 9th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 16.2% (from 3,816,000 in 2004).
