In 2007, Finland's passenger cars, by type of motor energy and size of engine increased by 2.6% compared to 2006, reaching 2,570,000.

Finland ranks 14th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 17.1% (from 2,195,000 in 2002).
