In 2015, France's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 2.2% compared to 2014, reaching 1,397,363.

France ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 19.2% (from 1,172,553 in 2010).
