In 2022, France's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 2.0% compared to 2021, reaching 15,823.

France ranks 4th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 55.6% (from 10,169 in 2017).
