In 2015, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 1.2% compared to 2014, reaching 16.5%.
The figure is above the EU-27 average of 13.7%.
Germany ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 17.0% (from 14.1% in 2010).
