Out-of-pocket expenditure on healthcare

In 2012, Germany's out-of-pocket expenditure on healthcare increased by 1.3% compared to 2011, reaching 27.0.

Germany ranks 18th out of 22 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 2.0% (from 27.5 in 2007).
