In 2020, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by age group increased by 8.8% compared to 2019, reaching 32.2.

Germany accounts for 96.4% of the EU-27 total of 33.4.

Germany ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 3.6% (from 33.4 in 2015).
