In 2012, Greece's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 7.8% compared to 2011, reaching 23.6%.
The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.6%.
Greece ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 12.9% (from 20.9% in 2007).
