In 2008, Greece's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.0% compared to 2007, reaching 19.6%.

Greece ranks 4th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.5% (from 19.9% in 2003).
