In 2018, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 4.5% compared to 2017, reaching 12.8%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.8%.
Hungary ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 14.7% (from 15.0% in 2013).
