In 2012, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 3.4% compared to 2011, reaching 22.9%.
The figure is above the EU-27 average of 21.0%.
Hungary ranks 9th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 21.8% (from 18.8% in 2007).
