At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2022, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 5.4% compared to 2021, reaching 15.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.4%.

Hungary ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.8% (from 14.8% in 2017).
