In 2024, Hungary's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 18.5% compared to 2023, reaching 60,346.

Hungary ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.9% (from 56,967 in 2019).
