General government expenditure by function (COFOG)

In 2009, Hungary's general government expenditure by function (COFOG) increased by 1.9% compared to 2008, reaching 5.4%.

Hungary ranks 14th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 8.5% (from 5.9% in 2004).
