In 2021, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty threshold for a single household increased by 10.0% compared to 2020, reaching 5,976.

Hungary ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 20.5% (from 4,960 in 2016).
