In 2021, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate for pensioners increased by 36.7% compared to 2020, reaching 12.3.

Hungary accounts for 78.8% of the EU-27 total of 15.6.

Hungary ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 73.2% (from 7.10 in 2016).
