In 2019, Hungary's at-risk-of poverty rate by household type increased by 11.0% compared to 2018, reaching 22.2.

Hungary accounts for 83.8% of the EU-27 total of 26.5.

Hungary ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 72.1% (from 12.9 in 2014).
