In 2023, Hungary's at-risk-of poverty rate by household type increased by 11.7% compared to 2022, reaching 24.9.

Hungary accounts for 98.4% of the EU-27 total of 25.3.

Hungary ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 24.5% (from 20.0 in 2018).
