In 2020, Hungary's housing cost overburden rate by poverty status decreased by 5.1% compared to 2019, reaching 3.7%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 7.8%.
Hungary ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 56.5% (from 8.5% in 2015).
