In 2016, Hungary's nights spent at tourist accommodation establishments increased by 6.3% compared to 2015, reaching 29,291,168.

Hungary ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 50.7% (from 19,434,914 in 2011).
