At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2008, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 25.4% compared to 2007, reaching 21.1%.

Ireland ranks 14th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 46.6% (from 39.5% in 2003).
