Income inequality for older people - EU-SILC survey

In 2021, Ireland's income inequality for older people decreased by 5.8% compared to 2020, reaching 7.48.

Ireland accounts for 89.7% of the EU-27 total of 8.34.

Ireland ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 4.3% (from 7.82 in 2016).
